My dachshunds love a walk here but 1 of them is allergic to ants and there were soo many of them he was getting bit almost everytime we went!

Went here to play the disc golf course. See the attached maps to help you navigate the course because it is not well marked out and some of the tee boxes are just unmarked dirt or marked dirt (see photo) while others are concrete slabs. However, the baskets are nice and the disc golf course is a mostly open (only a few trees) so good for beginners. I am glad this park has the disc golf course, hence why it is 4 stars.

Cant wait until everything gets back to normal so we can enjoy the park

Clean and quiet

Went for the disc golf course, 9 holes not all have launch pads but nice.

We love to just go there whether for lunch or just to enjoy the view.

Its a nice covered park with lots of room for the kids to run. People usually have birthday parties here. Right next to the Train Depot and the Alameda zoo. It tends to flood and create a lot of mud right after it rains.

Large, open park. Only wish the picnic tables were closer to the trees- they are in the direct sun most of the day except for the few under a gazebo. Great place to hang out with your dog. There is a frisbee golf course and a cute kiddie train that runs along one side.

This large park has a 9 station flying disc course, along with upgraded picnicking and playground facilities. Beautiful view of mountains and plenty of shade trees.

Quiet, relaxing and next to zoo too. Mini train station sells rides around the park.

The kids had a fun time at the playground which is probably the best in Alamogordo, even after the new Kids Kingdom reopened. The shade canopy is a good relatively new addition. We even took a walk to the Toy Train Depot and had a train ride

Love taking my daughter to the park. She has a blast every time.

The grass areas are very large and never really had a poor experience.

Nice open area, a few covered areas the gazebo you can reserve for special times pets are welcome pickup after them there is a kids play ground bench seating public restrooms handicap parking they also offer a the toy train depo where people can ride the miniature train from one end of the park to the other for a few threw out the year they also have diffrent events that take place theres lots of parking there is a rail way behind the park it is fenced from the street side but not the back from the rail way the alamogordo zoo the oldest zoo in new mexico is just right up the road.

Love this place.Great public park with space to walk the dogs, take the kids to the slide or swings and its near the Toy Train ride and gift shop.

We love the park! Its beautiful has plenty of trees for shade, it has a couple canopies to sit under and a playground for the little ones that also has canopies over it. The best thing is is its very close to the train place and they run the little trains around the track through the park!

One of the best parks in the area. Great for taking the kids to play, picnic, or just walk. A big playground, grassy areas where to run and roll, shade under the trees to just sit and relax. Picnic table, benches, plenty of parking spaces, and restrooms.

Needs more trees for shad.

Customer service was terrible but the lines were nonexistant! We werent bothered by ants during our picnic, so that is a plus.

They have disc golf baskets, large playground, grassy, large trees. The kids train is super fun :)

This is a covered playground with swings and bathrooms. The playground is nice, but expect your kids to get sandy and there isnt much shade for parents near the playground. A big plus is the free lunches for kids weekdays throughout the summer.

Only place in the desert where it snows in july

Its is the ok trees need some help but the grass is green and I was expecting to find a lover for the night while I was there, but no such luck, got ran off by the local pd at dusk

It only took 20+ years for a shade to be put over the playground equipment. If youre at the park on a day where the wind is blowing just right you get to smell the awful sewage system from the bathrooms. Thats always lovely. I typically bring a camping chair along because theres only 1 bench to sit out which was only just put in recently as well.

My daughter memorial services was at that park!!!
