What a great job they have done. When I was a kid in the we used to go the chamber of commerce to see the stuff they had on display. What a great addition.

This is a great local history museum. It takes you from prehistoric times too modern day. Displays are very well done and to the point...the basin area is very fortunate to have such a dedicated group of volunteers seeking to preserve local history.

Excellent little museum. A great place to learn just about everything you want to know about the area from the beginning of time to the present. Plenty of reference material if youre a student looking to write a report or if youre just a history buff like myself. Friendly staff answered my questions and have me a little extra insight into some of the exhibits.

Now I understand why theres a science behind exhibits. I moved to the area a bit more than 8 years ago, and love learning new things about the local history and culture. The flow of the museum and the different exhibits were fun and interesting. They helped put into perspective everything else I had learned before. Great job of volunteers and all those whove worked to build this. Thank you!

We spent almost 2 hours in here because they had a lot of interesting stuff and this town has a varied history. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly. It was only $3 per person and kids under 12 in free.

This museum is jam packed with information, artifacts and treasures. I was treated to helpful and interesting information by the kind woman at the counter. She showed us around and was incredibly knowledgeable. I admit that I came to see the Atari items but I left wowed by a remarkable collection of history enjoyed by my whole family.

I was pleasantly surprised at the size and scope of the displays in this museum. They have some excellent examples of ancient native pottery dating back to antiquity. Definitely worth the stop if youre in town, and have even a passing interest in the cultures and driving forces behind the history of the Tularosa Basin.
