Great courses and friendly staff. Brandon who answers the phone is great! Nice to be greeted with a friendly voice vs. feeling like you are bothering some of the other guys around town.

Greens and fairways are in nice shape but the bunkers are in disrepair and edges of bunkers and waste areas need to be weedeated.

Beautiful grounds, extremely beautiful Olympic size pool with plenty of chairs and tables and loungers. Surrounded by Pine trees, its just so relaxing. Golf course is beautifully kept. The Inn is wonderful and unfortunately didnt experience the Grill or see the Pro shop.

Houndslake is my home away from home. They truly do everything to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I would highly recommend Houndslake as a must stay place if you are in Aiken!

Every time I participate in something there my experience has always been great. Everyone is always helpful, friendly and courteous. Never a nose in the air you dont belong here feel. Very comfortable.

Greens are easily the worst in the entire CSRA. Not worth the money unless they are going to pay you to come play the course. Its an embarrassment they call this play a Country Club.

Houndslake is a very nice club. The course is challenging, but fair. The pro shop is well-stocked. Ive enjoyed dinner there, as well as Sunday brunch. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Just a great place to go. Everyone who works there is so friendly.

We hold our club meetings here, the drinks, food and staff are great and very accommodating. The club does need updating, this does not detract from my overall rating. Always look forward to being there.

Wow! Tough but fair course. Dogwood is a beautiful nine holes. The staff is very professional and extremely courteous.

Beautiful course. We attended a business dinner and the venue was beautiful. Drinks at the bar where not cheap but not over priced, they where right in the middle. I would be interested in becoming a member, if it doesnt cost an arm and a leg

Great golfing friendly staff

Service and staff at the Houndslake Inn were first rate, warm and welcoming. The bed was comfortable, the room was large and offered a wonderful golf course view. Breakfast was European; fresh fruit, warm roles/croissants. Dinner at the Houndslake Country Club, a two minute walk from the Inn has a full bar, reasonable wines and the food was a nice mix of southern comfort and bistro chic. If youre visiting the area, The Houndslake Inn is great place to stay. The Golf Course was in great shape and fun to play. But take a cart and bring your A game, many of the holes are cut through narrow hardwoods and hilly.

Was quite and not many people around but from what I can see it seems like a nice place.

Had our wedding here last year and staff were very very flexible and accommodating. Price was expensive but not rediculous compared to other large venues in the area. We had plenty of room to get ready and take pictures and felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! 4 stars instead of 5 just because the ballroom could use a new coat of paint and food is average.

Friendly people and great food

Its a charming location right off a golf course, but it is frozen in time. Sadly, not in a good way. It looks like the last time they renovated it was in the 1980s, possibly 90s. When you walk in there is a moldy, mildew smell that lingers into the hotel rooms. After being there only a couple hours, I had a raging headache. The bathrooms and bedrooms are in DESPERATE need of remodeling and redecorating. Its truly sad because it is such a sweet property with so much natural beauty surrounding it. Unless these things are addressed, I wont be returning. I plan on staying somewhere else when I next come to town.

Had dinner there for the last time. Every thing was over cooked. My chicken was dried out except for the old greasy oil dripping from it. My wife had fish and chips as the waiter said it was a great choice. She did not eat it fearing the grease it still had on it was so old, it may have been rancid.Others at our table agreed but because of the host we said nothing. You would think the plates being carried back would prompt a visit from a manager. Play golf there but avoid the food.
