Amazingly beautiful theatre in Aiken SC. Attended a Sunday afternoon play, The Odd Couple, with elderly family members. The building is totally handicap accessible, has a small refreshment stand available and clean restrooms. This is a gem for the Art community!

The young actors in Dr. SUESS The Musical were fabulous the costumes the decor ...outstanding! I sure enjoyed myself and from the clapping so did everyone else in the thretre.. I buy a whole yr subscription or get it for a gift and its worth going to every show I can.. I have been going for three yrs and I have never seen anything but great plays, musicals... I will always and tell people they need to go to Aikens, Sc. The Aikens thretre!

Local community theater at its best...Aiken is gifted with tons of local talent both onstage and behind the curtains. You need to discover this treasure if you have yet to experience it!

Great place to see locally produced performances in Aiken. The variety over the year is impressive since all are local actors who are volunteering their time and talent to the theater.

My family had a great time watching the youth perform Seussical Jr.

A very well organised theater.The seats n stage are very professionally cinstructed.The back stage has workshop that stated the the gold standard of mopping the floor is that person daring enough to drink that water after floor were moppedThe location of the theater is very strategically near to bars n restaurants.

Great family fun...we saw The Hunchback of Notre Dame and it was phenomenal. The staff was really excited and fun. The theater was beautiful inside and out

The volunteers were so informative and so very nice. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Was only able to do half. Will return for the other half.

The theater isnt very big, but that made for a more intimate encounter. There were comedians from around South Carolina, and because of the size of the auditorium, they were able to interact with the audience with ease. Nice night out for one who doesnt go out much anymore.

Fun repertory local talent in local theater!

Live theatre has a charm and a realism that cinema cannot duplicate; in that the performances occurs in front of an audience. This type of performance does not allow much room for on-stages mistakes, because the audience sees all. Aiken community playhouse has all the charm and realism of live theatre. Seating, lighting, and acoustics all contribute to a wonderful theatre experience. Not everyone likes live theatre, but for those that do, attending a performance here will not be a disappointment.

Great place to see a good show. The local actors and actresses are great. The play is a decent venue a bit old but very clean and quaint.

Phenomenal! I need live theater in my life, and the fact that this is run by volunteers warms my heart. I witnessed an amazing performance of a very well directed production and enjoyed every tickling second of it. You can bet I will be back, many times!

I took my 4 yr old daughter to see Peter Pan and the performance was awesome. My daughter LOVED Tinker Bell. The playhouse is very nice facility. Just be sure to bring a jacket and or a blanket as during the performance it got a little cold in the auditorium. We will be going back for more shows and may even look into gettibg a playhouse subscription. Awesome place!!

The seats were comfortable and the front row was perfect since the stage sits low and we were not looking up for the whole show.. The Rainmaker cast did an excellent job.

The Youth Wing is a wonderful experience for my daughter

OK disclaimer - Ive only been to 2 productions so far, so my review is a work-in-progress based on limited experiences and i hope Ill be able to more positively revisit it in the near future.However ... first, the actors do a super job and some of the singers are excellent. My gripe is mostly the choice of plays. The two I saw were soooooo dated - OLD British ones that were just boring and ... old. I actually left at intermission during the second one. I just couldnt sit thru any more of it. I know it costs money to get rights to put on a play but the calibre and enthusiasm of the actors SO deserves better, newer plays. The high schools do newer plays!Id certainly be willing to pay more for a ticket to something that was at least SOMEWHAT contemporary. I do plan to attend more plays but given the choice of productions it will mainly be because they are so cheap. I LOVE LOVE LOVE and am so proud of the fact that Aiken has this theatre and commend all the members who obviously work so hard on the plays but PLEASE spend the bucks to move into a more recent century with your selections. The audience and your actors deserve better.

What a wonderful town that I live in, where we have our own Theatre in which to enjoy plays. Again, no need to travel far Aiken South Carolina has what your looking for anytime and anywhere. Come spend a weekend in paradise and you will see what I am talking about.

Called 10 times over the course of two days and no one picked up! Made sure it was between M-F 9-4. Oh and their lunchtime 12-1 they make it pretty clear.

We enjoyed the play in this theater. Each performer had a small wireless microphone tied to the sound system so you could clearly hear them speak.

Did not attend an event. Just visiting for a few minutes.
