The wine is delicious. The Scenery is beautiful. But unfortunately they changed there food menu from last year. If you’re a vegetarian or a vegan the only thing to eat is a loaf of bread that was very disappointing to find out. They Need least have one Option.

Im not a wine snob and probably wouldnt have driven all the way here for just a tasting. Very glad that they hosted Michigan Avian Experience. The pairings was amazing, the birds were beautiful and the price was excellent.The setting of the open aired tasting room is tucked to the back of the vineyard. You drive through the grapes as you see the pavilion and hear the birds in the surrounding woods. Its actually quite an experience. The wine list isnt as long as your arm so you can focus on whats in front of you and take in the natural beauty.I prefer sweet but the dry that Flying Otter offers are rather nice. Also ask about anything unreleased, Wild Thing is rather unusual and worth a try.We has so much fun. I will be looking for more events to take others.

What a wonderful place out in the country just gorgeous with wonderful staff and food and wine.

Totally awesome place. Absolutely love the atmosphere. The wines are like rays of sunshine, golden reserve and sexy. The food is fabulous. Music is some of the best Ive heard anywhere. Love the new weekly happenings. Truly a wonderful place to be with family and friends.

I highly recommend visiting this winery! My fiancee and I went and had a great time! The reds were made from these grapes that are supposed to be better suited to Michigan weather. They were flavorful, deep, and delicious. Despite the facade of being a curmudgeon, the owner and his wife were wonderful people that were quite pleasant to chat to! They explained all about their winery and what theyre all about.

Our family had a wonderful time at Flying Otter. Melody was our sommelier. Melody was so funny and lovely. She took extra care with my nephew. The Vineyard is strikingly beautiful and super fun for the young ones to learn and explore. Definitely a repeat visit. 5 stars.

Anyone following me on social media knows that I love The Flying Otter Vineyard and Winery as I post pictures almost weekly! I have been coming here for some time now and absolutely love this place. Bob and Linda Utter are the owners and they have made this place a fun place to be and the wines are wonderful. This year they made huge changes to their menu and the Friday night meal selections made by Michael Fletcher are awesome. The staff are very friendly and help make the experience one that you will want to come back for again and again. There is also entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. I highly recommend that you visit The Flying Otter soon!!

Wonderful place to spend the evening.

My husband I were here on a nice quite Sunday afternoon. Awesome setting great wine, the bread and cheese plate were amazing ! Would have love to have the owner come talk to us, soooo many other winerys the owners walk around talk to everyone we love that . Makes it so much more personal. Owners were there sat about 5 feet from us , walked pass us even. Never once said a word. The girl behind the counter was very nice during the tasting , no small talk. Just told us the name of the wine that we had marked on our sheet that we were tasting. Over heard more in a conversation from the owner to another guest about the winery , and found it very interesting. Usually during tastings you get the low down on the history of the winery . Will we be back , maybe ?????

Great wine, beautiful scenery but a so horrible and disgusting service! Brought large party and they treated us really poorly. Very disappointed. Wanted so badly to buy wine from them but just couldn’t support them!

Have been here twice and the Flying Otter has become our favorite winnery in the area.

Open air pavilion in rge back of the vineyard off the beaten path. Wine tasting light munchies and live music Fridays and Saturdays 6 to 8. Watch the deer and wild turkeys visit too.

This is a great place to relax, have a snack, listen to music and sip on some great local wine.
