Great layout and golf course but has not been well taken care of and lots of weeds around the greens.Don’t bother eating lunch, will take an hour to get food. Staff is very thin and only one person working the entire lunch shift. They run a double tee and there is always a wait at the turn, pace is not bad but always a hold up at the turn. Could be a great place one day

Course is nice but they put me off #10 as a single. When I tried to make the turn there were 5 groups waiting on #1.

Governors Towne Club ballroom is so dreamy, and the staff is exceptional! I have participated in a few events with The Governor’s Town Club and only have amazing things to say. Amanda is extremely knowledgeable and helpful during the planning process! She is always responsive whenever we call with questions. She is fair, honest, and so down to earth. We love working with GTC!

Governors Town Club spa is a hidden gem in our community! Jim is the best masseuse that I have EVER had ! The amenities are fabulous and relaxing! Heather is a wonderful host. She will make sure you have everything you need.

I attended a wedding at GTC and it was a horrendous experience for myself, the bridal party and the rest of the guest. The staff, especially Amanda, were very unprofessional, the portion of the food was ridiculously small and the food tasted like something my 5 year old would make. The place is beautiful but I would never recommend this place to anyone. Your money is better spent at a more reputable venue with people who know what they are doing.

GTC sets the gold standard in gated, luxury residential properties. Incredible staff, breathtaking golf course and beautifully crafted homes. This community is truly one of a kind.

Recently attended a wedding at GTC and it was not a pleasant experience! The place is nice but that was the only pleasant thing. The food was indelible, staff was unprofessional and disorganized. I have lived in Atlanta for many years and have been a part of many wedding, this place failed to meet expectations.Update: this business has been deleting honest reviews left by myself and other guests on sites such as wedding wire/the knot.Never trust a business that tries to hide the truth from customers.

My chief advice is to be careful when using the Governors Towne Club as a reception venue. My wife and I had our reception there this Spring and our experience was far more stressful than it needed to be. To begin, the reception venue is gorgeous! The hall, premises, and ambience of the site are very nice...we were elated when we found what we assumed to be a hidden gem. Sadly, the main deterrent to using this venue has to be Amanda, the venue/wedding coordinator, and questionable staff. When you first meet Amanda she appears to be kind, compassionate, and in your corner but, like a car salesman, this is just for the purpose of receiving a commission. Its a show. I know it may seem strong but Amanda is a woman with little sense of integrity which is the cornerstone of any partnership in selecting a reception venue...especially when after you sign the contract you place yourself at the mercy of the venues representative. When my now wife and I first met with Amanda to discuss using the venue we were a little offput by the requirement to use the venues chef for food catering so we intentionally discussed how much this would cost before selecting the venue. We were given a list of food prices and assured that though prices were subject to change (as per contract) that ultimately the final quote would be comparable to the original price. Long story short, in the many months of wedding planning and food selection Amanda continually raised the prices and cut the portions...MULTIPLE times...we literally ended up paying nearly double the price to receive less than half of the amount of food we were originally promised! THIS IS NO EXAGGERATION. Beware that Amanda will continually state that CHEF says that this meat isnt in season so we will have to raise the price....I spoke with CHEF and he said he will have to cut your portions... Lol. We had the chance to speak with Chef unbeknownst to Amanda and he informed us that he never made such a claim. The Governors Towne Club is quite expensive so how they get you is that after youve committed by paying your deposit, shell steadily raise prices and renig on promises knowing that it would be too much of a hassle to change venues. Despite the aesthetic appeal of the venue I would strongly advise against using this venue.***P.S. The Governors Towne Club has enlisted phantom posters to go and offset negative reviews. Note that within a day or two this post a new 5-star review will appear detailing how amazing Amanda is and how great a value the food is. Dont listen.

Coach Pat does an amazing job with the Tennis program. Our son loves going to his group tennis lessons with all the other kids. They have tons of fun and his game has improved a great deal. Thanks Coach Pat!

I had a consultation for hosting an event at GTC and was shocked by how disorganized, rude and unprofessional the staff was, especially the coordinator Amanda. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

Im a new mom and new to Acworth, the spa at governors town club is amazing! I had a facial and massage, the last cream put on was sticky but next time I will ask for a lighter cream, the massage was heavenly. My go-to spa.

Their spa is AWESOME. Dakota, Darlene, Scott - they are all terrific people who are passionate about what they do. I am a current client and will continue going for massages with Darlene as often as I can.

Parents are members at brookstone but we prefer paying and playing here. Phenomenal course and very affordable.

Course is in phenomenal shape and the service is what you would expect from an establishment such as this. Highly recommend a visit while you can still get on this championship level track.
