The trail is well marked, with blue trail shortcuts to make the overall hike a little shorter for those who need it. Pretty rocky, so one should be careful about twisting an ankle. Not good for speed hiking, but cool views to be taken in.

Where Google map took me was inaccurate. Fortunately, I drove along the edge of the park area and found a small marked entrance area at the end of Kelley Road, which was just a short distance from where Id started. Someone tacked up trail maps to the trees, which was very handy. I took the yellow trail, which loops the whole park. Regularly, there were red trails; these were spokes out away from the center of the park, leading to various other entrances. I followed each of these to the end to get some extra steps in. Completing the whole yellow loop (with the red side trails) gave me about 7000 steps plus about 20 floors of elevation change. Fairly easy trail with a few muddy patches. Pretty quiet on a Wednesday morning.

Nice area, well-marked trails, various small climbs and rock-hopping. Main trail is 2 miles, we zigged and zagged for 2.8. Very pleasant.

Great Hill is a great conservation area in Acton. There are miles of well marked trails. There is also a small pond where dog owners frequently convene to allow them to run and play off leash. (An informal dog park) However, the pond sometimes has an unpleasant algae bloom in the summer. The fields are also used for soccer practice, so dogs cant run free at all times.

Great Hill is the place to go for an easy hike. The area is beautiful. Its fairly quiet as well.Irresponsible dog owners are a big problem there though. Loose and out-of-control dogs are abundant. You really have to pay attention to the ground when walking because people often dont pick up their dogs poo.

Ive been bringing me dog here for 3 years. Its a great spot for dogs because there are usually a few dogs there for her to play with and the field and pond are a nice bonus. We also love the extensive trails there; great for a quick, scenic hike. Trails are well maintained.

A great set of soccer pitches. Parking can be crowded, but everyone who comes is good-natured and people try to help each other. There is a porta-potty on site which is helpful. I have seen quite a few of my granddaughters games there.

Well marked, well maintained, dry trails. Accurate map. Quiet. No open views but many large, beautiful trees and historic stone walls.

Ive been bringing my dog here since she was a puppy. I think the trails are the nicest ones in town, although Acton has plenty of great trails. The field and the water is a nice bonus and a perfect meeting spot for dogs and their owners.

Lovely piece of forested land with lots of ups and downs so it can be a pleasant and slow or challenging and fast walk, depending on what youre looking for. Friendly doggies will be on the trails though, which is fine by me but you need to know in case youre not good with unleashed dogs.

I walk through all seasons of the year and love the quiet twisting journey. Every trail is well marked, and people are always friendly. Free maps at the entrances, so take one when you start, and leave it when youre done. A lovely place.

Very nice hiking area with a big field and a pond thats perfect to exercise your dog. There are a few irresponsible owners that do not have control over their unfriendly dogs, so you have to watch out for that.

A nice set of trails that make a couple miles for the main loop with some shorter cross trails through the loop. Pretty well marked and for the woods, not particularly buggy and quite suitable for young kids, my 5 and 8 year old girls had no fun. There is a fair few parking spots around the hill, but we went from the back of The Discovery Museum.

Great hiking. Big sharp rocks make it less than ideal for mtb.

Great off Leash dog trail, especially when tick levels are low. Theres many entrances, one of which is next to a large field with a pond behind a fire station. The field is covered with dogs ever Sunday morning staying around 10am.
