What a delightful place! My niece and her husband rented this place for a private birthday party for two of their girls. Our large family was able to be together in a spacious place. Its been a long time since weve been together due to covid restrictions. This was great! They sell soft drinks and Pizza. The Staff were very nice. I even got to skate with the help of my husband.

I took my kids here and it was overall a good time. The girl at the front over charged me but the manager caught it right away. It was a clean place with friendly staff. The staff on the rink were really aware of the little kids trying to skate and keeping the more experienced skaters away from them. I will be taking my kids back because they had such a great time.

Skating and food is great, I like the races and games they have, the skates are good. Only 10$ I believe, the only problem is one of the workers was giving me an attitude. I know Its like 9pm but she didnt have to be rude, Im 12 years old. And using a card is new to me when it comes to buying stuff, and once I finally got my stuff (didnt get my drink) she had me sign a paper. I was still holding her pen, oops. And she said in a rude tone can I have my pen back like yes you can, but you couldve asked nicer. Other than that, its a good place

Skating at the skatin place is super fun! Ive never had issues with any staff or other customers and Im always greeted politely, Some of the staff even remembered my name. Ive been going for nearly 2 years and I love it!

This roller rink has a nice wooden floor. The staff was friendly and helpful. The kids skates had velcro instead of ties, which I thought was nice. The lighting was nice. I thought some of the videos were a bit questionable (a woman in lingerie touching herself) but its cool that they can play them. There were no games, like the limbo, shoot the duck, crazy trio, etc. There were a lot of day care kids. Overall, nice, but the floor was above nice. The floor was excellent.

It was a great time but the time of age that we are going threw, nobody in that place was wearing a mask. I had 4 adults one kid and one infant and we were the only people wearing our face mask.

I LOVED it ! Very clean kid friendly environment! Got to speak to some of the workers ! I think his name was Ruben , he told me that they (all staff ) do their best to keep it as clean as can be ! I heard him speaking Spanish to another family ! Love the fact that they have bilingual staff ! Amazing music very appropriate. Good hours to bring kids. Love the activities they have ! All in all AMAZING place !

Phenomenal experience hosting a birthday party there. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rink was large and kept cool during the heat of the day. The location offers a snack bar with pizza, chips, French fries, and a variety of candy and drinks available. Devices are available for new skaters to hold to build their confidence, and smaller skates that attach to childrens shoes who are 3 and under. In addition to roller skates, inline skates (rollerblades) are available for rent as well.

I took my 13 year old to have fun and we did have fun but there is a catch, you have to let your child watch some of the filthiest videos they put on big big monitors and every thing they play is girls twork dancing and let me tell you it was explicit and about 90% of the children were under 14 why do they need to see such filth to have fun,Not recommend for young children. Wont be back

This was a good clean well run skating rink. The floor is well-maintained good and solid and they have a lot of tables and chairs so you can sit eat visit whatever

This place is cool, not much has changed since the last time I was there around 5 or 6 years ago. The staff seem really apathetic, especially the person on the speaker. The employees seem like they dont really want to be here, which feels kinda awkward for guests. It would be cool if they were open more, so adults could come while kids are in school or something. The place seemed clean, and we had no problems getting in and getting skates.

Like that the owner has security, doesnt allow anyone to go in and out and keeps peace. Kids are not the best there, but they are watched. Kept clean and prices are not bad for skate rentals.

Pricing is decent. Pay for entry + pay to skate, even if you bring your own skates. Their skates arent the best quality and extremely unbalanced. In-line rollerblades are extra. Concessions are a little above average. Kid-friendly, no explicit, good variety of music. Birthday parties thrown here are a bit unorganized and 1 small cafeteria style table with 10 seats total is provided. Overall would return.

My daughter had her 6th birthday party today at the Skatin Place and had an absolutely wonderful time! They had a party table ready for her with her name on it and an area reserved to the side for gifts. They stored my ice cream for me until I needed it and provided me with a lighter for the cake that I had forgotten! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the entire place is so clean (which is a major plus.) My daughter had such a great time that she cried when we had to leave and said that she wished I was the boss and we owned the place so we didnt have to go (Ha!) Ive had parties at other places in Abilene and this has been the best!

Love this place, come here every weekend on Friday 7-1030 and it is always very fun and mostly tame. Jeff and the staff are very good at what they do in that they keep the kids in check. This place is my home!

Horrible manager. Homophobic. Yelled at my boyfriend and I to stop being all over each other, when what really happened was that I caught him before he could fall. There was a lovely group of kids next to us who stood up for us, thanks yall. Call and complained due to the fact there were underage kids making out in the back and almost doing more with no call outs. Was not fun. Food sucked too. At least the children were nice :)

This place was okay. Everything was clean and I didnt experience any problems getting skates like other people seemed to. The staff seemed to do a decent job at keeping kids from endangering themselves or others, but other than that the staff seemed very indifferent about everything they did.

This place is the worst in town to have a party, or visit for that matter. The staff, the managers are impossibly rude, and cannot communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner. I have never been treated so horrible. The person in charge, the manager changing her policy multiple times, charging us for kids which paid as they walked in. When I question them both her and her assistant became argumentative and belittling. She cursed at my older daughter, accusing her of taking pictures and asking her if she wanted her to f----ing smile for them, My sons party ended with him in tears staying he never wants to skate again. I had two sets of guest come up to me and asked me what happened because she and her staff were openly talking trash and telling outright lies about me. The maturity of the staff is awful, there is not an actual adult on the premises. Once in a 3 hour party did anyone ever ask if we needed anything, which was to take the pizza and drink order. Then I had to remind them that they charged us for 14 people and gave us 10 slices of pizza. When I brought it up to the manager she outright lied stating that they had been cooking our pizza, which as verified by the concession stand girl, they never told her more than 10, so she had to cook another pizza when I asked. I asked to speak with the owner when the conflict first started, she called him and in front of me was distorting everything from the beginning, from what she told me, he said we can get our stuff and get out if we dont like things, this was because I asked about pricing as we had multiple things said to us by this manager. She never would allow me to speak with him and if he was truly concerned about his customers and knew there was a conflict he would asked to speak with me himself. It’s horrible that this is the only skating venue available. My son, or anyone in my family will not be stepping foot in that place until they have a mature management staff that can communicate effectively with customer.

Great place for kids birthday parties for sure. Me, I havent been roller skating in over 15 years at least.... I was so twitchy and jerky.... I had to stop halfway through the rink to take them off! lol! But the kids had a blast! they have guards for the younger ones that are still learning.. Umm, a couple arcade games, pool table, air hockey, snack bar... music.

I have NEVER had a bad experience at the skating place until TODAY! The crew was unprofessional and rude! I attended a birthday party for my nephew and I must say I WILL NOT be returning! You would think the manager would address my issue/concern with PROFESSIONALISM but she was just as RUDE! That may be why the employees there act the way they do because they see their manager acting in an unprofessional manner. I asked her for her name so that I could make a complaint and she told me YOU DONT NEED MY NAME & rolled her eyes! Very tacky and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL to have been a manager. I am so disgusted and so displeased with the service I received on november 12th 2017! So disgusted!

Came for birthday party. Think they should have rails around the rink and $5 to rent a stand is ridiculous, that should just be available especially since there arent rails to hold onto.

Also experienced rude staff. They acted like I was trying to get a pair of $5 rental skates for free. I paid the teeny bopper up front and I guess she didnt give me a token or whatever to hand to the skate girl. The manager/owners son (I guess) and the skate girl jumped all over me and demanded $5 in a very accusatory manner when I asked for a pair of freakin skates. Very rude about it. I was there with my 4 year old daughter at a school function. They are also very rude about enforcing petty rules. Its not a good time.
