Me and my wife have been 5 times so far took our LTC class here and every visit has been outstanding extremely friendly staff and alot of knowledge.

The folks there are friendly and welcoming and extremely willing to help. Great place to go for first time shooters. They have an large selection of rental guns for those who want to try before they buy. I wont buy anywhere else in Abilene if I can get it at AIGR.

This place has been good to myself and the guys when we go here. We attend this location on a regular basis and always get good service

I’ve been here two times and I really enjoy the range and the store. The people working the desk were very nice and respectful. I wish the range itself was a little bit bigger but overall it was really good. Being able to move a target out to a certain distance with the push of a button is the luxury of an indoor range.

Went in with my son (29 years old). Their limit is 1 box of ammo per GROUP. After his purchase I was allowed to purchase nothing. I like to support local businesses but it was much simpler to order 300 rounds online.

Nice staff, okay prices on ammo. Nice facility to shoot in. Yearly membership is double that of Abilene Gun Club outdoor range, but youre paying to shoot in air conditioned comfort so I guess its reasonable. Only place I can find Lancer hybrid mags for my AR locally, and the prices on the mags are very good. Nice selection of firearms to rent, up to full auto. If you pay as you go and youre military or a vet its only $15 per visit.

Friendly and experienced staff make it easy for novice and new gun owners to navigate. Ability to test out most guns on sale through their rental/range greatly adds confidence when purchasing.

I use them for my FFL for internet purchases and the are polite, professional, and accommodating. My wife took the CCW class there and loved it. We bought her CCW purse there at a good price. This is a place I would recommend.

These guys are great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Range is easy to access and theyre willing to help you with anything you need. Ordered a gun online and used them as my FFL - very easy process and they had me through in no time. Will definitely return for any future purchases.

My husband and I have gone twice since weve been in the area. The range is exceptional, and there is also a wide variety of guns you can rent if you are wanting to try something different. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable as well.The prices are great, and they have a military/ law enforcement discount.

Staff was very polite n helpful. Even tho we were just window shopping. But we ended up shooting a few automatic rifles at a very reasonable price. On our way bk to Cali, it was a must we swing by cause most of their stuff is illegal out there.

One of the most unprofessional places Ive ever been too. While attending the CHL class, ignorance from the instructor group was a common virtue. Telling students in the class to not aim center mass on the target. Yes, lets go ahead and teach people who hardly know what there doing to just aim all over the place. This kind of behavior will lead to stricter gun control laws that no one wants because knowing your target and whats beyond it is not even indoctrinated. The list goes on...I wanted to play around with a fully automatic weapon I mean who doesnt every now and then. As I was firing the weapon I had 7 stove pipes in a row. I observed the weapon and seen that it had not been clean which looked to me being a professional that it hadnt been cleaned in months. As a professional I take the responsibility of not checking the cleanliness and the functionality of the fire arm before firing it myself but at the same time the range should clean their weapons right?I also called a few days ago about purchasing a new firearm and was told they would come any day now. I simply asked the lady if I could receive a call back and was told I dont call anyone. The professionalism at a gun shop these days should definitely be something of the most importance with the Liberal agenda pushing its ideas onto the American people.Thank you. I would rate this store itself at 5 stars however this is more of an employee review. The cashier has a piss poor attitude and is the reason I hate buying here. I love your store and your employees are very knowledgeable about the products you sell. However she knows nothing and gets defensive as soon as you ask her anything. I’ve now started to just go other places to shop as I do not want to deal with her attitude.

A safe and professional indoor gun range. In two visits to Abilene this was my 3rd visit to the range. They also seem to be a full service gun store for all your other needs.

A wonderful experience!!! It was my first time shooting in a range and they were professional, friendly and helpful. Allowing for me to feel comfortable in a new environment. Looking forward to going back to better my shot!!!

Cool indoor gun range. One of the best place to hang out with friends. Good selection of guns. The firing range was clean with very approachable staff. Love the experience and definitely coming back here.

Very helpful staff, guns were functional and clean. They have a layaway program for purchasing and offer LE/military discounted options for purchase. As a first time Glock 42 shooter, this place was wonderful!

A horrible unsafe place.Read the whole thing.(History)I was there for the first time today.They have a very large selection of guns and the sales staff in the Gun Barn appeared know what they were talking about.The firing range is a little small, but clean and well kept.The gentleman at the rental desk also sold bullets too. You can even rent fully automatic weapons. There was no a large selection of holsters there, but if you need ammunition for your gun.weapon, I am sure that you will find it there.I purchased some +P for my new 9mm and the +P was a few dollars less than a big box store that was 3.5 miles away.A little update...(Current)For those who have never went to a range, please learn what to do and what not to do.Was at the range today and some idiot was drawing from his holster. I went and informed the front desk. The guy at the front desk said they just sent the owner in to talk to the shooter. The owner walked into the range and walked out. The person needing an education kept drawing from his holster and then shooting.I went and told the front desk by and she said it was ok since there were only a few people on that side of the range. (6 shooters in a 6 bay range.I guess your life is worth less when there are less shooters.Needless to say, we left and will never be back.This is the second visit in 4 months where this happened.

They have a good knowledgeable staff that treats their customers with respect. They take time explaining the product to you instead of trying to impress you on how much they know, which is an annoyance of mine at many guns stores. Only shop in Abilene to have what I was looking for. Will definitely be back.

I was in Abilene on business and stumbled across the store while looking for something to eat. I wasnt planning on buying anything, just wanted to get a feel for the operation. WOW. There are businessmen, then there are ENTHUSIASTS. Josh and the guys definitely fall into the enthusiast side of the equation. Absolutely no pressure, very friendly and willing to talk about their merchandise and samples. Great people - Ill definitely be back! (And for what its worth, I ended up walking out with a p220 I just couldnt live without :) )

I went Labor Day weekend last year. They were barely open. Someone at a register took my money and looked away. I looked around and spotted some targets on a shelf. I asked the money taker who had obviously finished with me if I was supposed to take some. She said Yes. So I got a couple. I looked around again waiting for someone to assign me a lane. So I asked the disinterested person at the register where to shoot. Pick any lane, she said. Where?, I asked. Through those doors, she said. Not at all like the gun ranges I shoot at in the Houston area. But hey, I got to shoot stuff! Ill probably go back next time Im in the area. If for no other reason than to have a story to tell about the disinterested money taker.

Super fun time, Me, my brother and co-worker/family friend getting ready to go shoot for a federal firearms qualifications in Ft. Worth area Friday. At the Abilene Indoor Gunrange you can shop for everything accesories, ammo and even a large selection firearms ( pistols or long guns ) and then shoot them and even rent them if you wanted and you can even kill some time on the stad up shooter arcade game free to play.

First time I went into the place to purchase some ammo. I was treated like royalty! Their prices were very fair and they carry quality stuff. Will definitely go back and recommend to others.

Prices are good and friendly staff

Great selection and decent prices. However, as others have mentioned, the counter staff are not gun people. Mostly high-school age kids talking about the latest iPad and using the computers to look up brand name items that any gun person would know instantly. One of my favorite parts of visiting a gun store or indoor range is to chat with staff about the latest and greatest in firearms training, technology, and products. Most gun stores are staffed with knowledgable gun people who are passionate about firearms, but it wasnt my impression the couple times Ive been here.

Stopped in a few times to this range. Counter staff are too busy having conversations with each other to help you out. I find their range prices high. Not impressed. They do have a separate gun area that seems well stocked. Overall, though, I have a bad impression every time I leave. I have no plans to go back.

I will not be doing business with Abilene Indoor Gun Range since they refuse to correct a mistake they made. If they correct this situation this rating will change and I will reconsider using them in the future.

Regular customer here, dont buy often but when I do this is where I like to do it, great people, knowledgeable staff, will help people of all experience levels, and are very friendly and courteous doing so. Love this place.

I was totally impressed with the ppl up there. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely fun to be around. I bought a used gun from them and soon found a problem with the trigger, now, as they sell as is, I was thinking I bought a lemon. But, I took it back up there, just incase. I was totally suprised when they took my gun with no more information than its broke, tore it down, found the issue , fixed it and let me shoot it to make sure it was fixed. I was so totally impressed, that I WILL be making my future purchases with them!!

The good. This place is the only indoor range in Abilene and has the best selection of guns at very good prices.The bad. If you are military and do not have a TX ID, they will not sell to you even though you have a right to purchase with a copy of orders, a military ID, and utility bill with your address. Even after I talked to the ATF (and they checked with their legal department), and the examiner called and told them I was good to purchase, they still refused unless I got a TX ID. It is easy to get a TX ID, but as most gun owners, I take a stand on my rights. It is very unfortunate these guys received a bad audit based on a previous misinterpretation of the required documents. I did the legwork to have the problem resolved so they could, in their own words sell a lot more guns. The ATF called (the same agent who audited them) and assured me I could now purchase the handgun. I went into the store, asked if the ATF called them, and they said yes, but they still would not sell unless I had got my TX ID. I will not do business with them and will order my firearms through another dealer.

January 30, 2015 didnt really start off with a bang the way I had hoped. I initially made contac with Abilene Indoor Gun Range via phone and was given excellent customer service which assisted me in making a visit with my wife and try out our hand guns. My wife and I showed up about 4:00 PM and couldnt wait to get started but it quickly turned into a waiting game. We entered the store and saw the empty counter and made our way to the back of the building where there is another counter with a few guys in there talking about guns. I waited patiently while my wife took a tour of the store. After no one helped me I joined my wife in the tour. After the tour, I interrpted the people in the back room and asked if anyone worked there. An older gentlemen said he did and asked if he could help. I said I wanted to sign up to use the gun range. He quickly told me to go wait at the counter where the girl was standing. I told him there is no girl at the counter. He said she will be there in a minute. After 10 minutes of waiting around and no one to attend to our request we noticed some other people working on the floor stocking shelves. They were oblivious to our presence leading wife and I to believe that they were interested in helping a biracial couple. Needles to say that I am disappointed that at this time and age people still feel this way. One could question if it was a matter of being prejuidice or simply ridiculous customer service. At this point it doesnt matter b/c we left the building and will never return for the silent treatment again. I have made other arragements to shoot my weapons elsewhere and highly recommend that you do too.

Good shop, helpful staff. Respectable prices on a lot of the gear they stock, great selection epsecially on 1911s and Glocks, also had quite a few XD/XDMs.

Refuse to fix a mistake that was made on their part, it ended up costing a non-profit a lot of money for a service that wasn’t rendered.

This is a fantastic gun range/store.
