Nice place friendly people. Food was ok. We were the only ones staying there so they didn’t have breakfast. But it was nice and quiet. The room we stayed in was big and clean and hot had to crack the window open. I think the whole place is on one thermostat. Beds were not the best, but the pillows were awesome. I would definitely stay there again. Price was very reasonable.

Such a nice resort it has a restaurant and bar the burgers are good and a beautiful view the rooms are secluded and very quiet even with people at the bar dogs are welcome its nice and clean and the everyone is very nice would stay there again

2nd year going here for a family reunion! The staff is most excellent! I love coming here because management makes it so comfortable, rooms are clean. And a HUGE bonus is banjo the cabin dog, such a great dog, gives the place a homey feeling. I for sure will return in the future! And recommend this place highly to anyone looking for a place to unwind. Thanks for the great time and service!!!!!!!

Great place if you want to be lake side. They have a full bar and food. I stayed here for a few weeks because of work and loved every minute of it. The food was always good, I tried everything on the menu and it was all stupid good. The individuals working there were really nice and made me feel like at home.

The lodge, a small complex is both clean and very comfortable.The owner and staff are all very helpful and pleasant. The views of the lake during the day and evening are luxurious .The food is of a high standard and the bar is a friendly and sports orientated environment. Stayed for 4 weeks and enjoyed every day there, no matter what the weather threw at us over our stay. Recomend.

The location was nice. Was in a big group. They knew we were coming. I guess it is to be expected that some food would be cold when they served it.

Was there for a wedding and the host was so drunk she could barely walk at times. She had been drinking must of the pure service nothing was set up for the wedding...

We ate here for dinner and the waitress we had didnt seem like she knew what she was doing. The Anchor Burger was just ok but the chicken and tortilla soup was super salty, too salty to eat. The fish was ok. None of the food was great. The bathroom kinda seemed like it was falling apart and the soap dispensers they had on the wall didnt work so they had a hand pump soap that was very watery.

Great place to eat, stay, or have gatherings if you are in Aberdeen. The facilities are very well maintained and it is located right on the lake. Definitely should be on your radar when in Aberdeen.

Very fun and friendly people here. We had a good time, I used to be here a lot, so it was nice coming back.The room was clean, with coffee and a continental breakfast in the morning.

This was a great place to eat. I went here visiting some family and the staff was extremely kind and friendly, and the food was absolutely fantastic, with some of the best onion rings Ive ever had in a restaurant.

Clean place. Location is on a lake just out of town. Would be better if it wasnt 40 degrees outside but it was a great experience.

Service was very , very slow. There were a total of two tables, this included ours, in the place. It took about 10 minutes to get our drinks, another 10 minutes to order and we had been there for 45 minutes before we got our food. When we got there we were given menus, but when it came to order we were only allow to pick from 3 different choices. They had a specials board that had nothing on it, but after being there for 10 minutes, they decided to write on it. Some of the food came out cold. I heard that is was under new management, so I dont know if they know how to run it right yet. I dont think I will be going back.

The patio seating overlooking the lake for drinks and supper is a perfect way to spend an evening. Staff were very friendly food was excellent.

I Googled Anchors Aweigh and found their menu posted online. My wife and I made our selections from that menu but when we got to the restaurant we were told that the website is way outdated and both of our selections were no longer listed. If you are going to be on the web you should keep your website updated or else remove it! The dining room is quite small and, at least the night we were there, it was so noisy that we were unable to maintain a conversation at our table. My meal was just fine but my wife ordered her steak medium rare and our friend ordered his medium. When we got the food, my friends food was too rare and my wifes was too medium so the cook must have gotten them turned around. In good weather there is an option to sit outside but I doubt if we will go there again. There are other places in Aberdeen and in most of them, such as the Flame, we are able to carry on a dinnertime conversation.

Had an amazing time at my best friends wedding here. The staff was great and the views were amazing!

I first contacted Anchors Away around June 2016 to book my wedding rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. My fiancée, mom, and I sat down with Diana (management at the time) and Jacob (chef at the time) sometime last fall. We went over a lot of specifics - suites / # of the rooms for Saturday night / rehearsal dinner meal / reception meal / ceremony times and placement / how many people would be coming / prices per plate and lodging etc. / set up – she said she’d give us a good price if we got food / cake / did everything out at the lodge. I asked Diana for a contract, and she said that wasn’t how she handled business she was old fashioned and if I trusted her she’d trust me kind of thing. I offered to give her all the money up front, or a deposit, and my mother thankfully talked me out of it since there was no legal binding contract. I called again to check in since I was paranoid without having a contract, and Jacob was no longer working there. We set up a meeting to meet with the new chef who was around 22 years old and had a horrible customer service personality. I figured even though he had a horrible personality, all that mattered is that he could cook and didn’t have to interact with any guests, that was just slightly displeasing but little did I know that was nothing compared to what was coming next. Then when I called again a few weeks later to see if there was double beds or pull out couches in the queen rooms, I found out there was a new manager. She said she didn’t have any of my information and didn’t know how to get ahold of me or what was going on because all the calendar said was “Wedding” on that weekend. I was extremely stressed out. My mom, my fiancée, and I went out to talk to the new manager, Marnie, and was supposed to see the new chef, but never ended up meeting him the couple hours we were there. I informed Marnie all of the things I had talked to Diana about and the pricing etc and random notebook papers and such from before. She was shocked at the amount I was given, but said that to keep good word of mouth business, she would honor the previous arrangements. Including using the buffet area for a buffet style rehearsal dinner and reception, use of the lodge and rooms, and an outdoor ceremony. She said she would be sending me a contract via email. She never did. I called her to check in a few times and she never said anything had changed. I emailed her today 6/23/17 asking about the menu since she had mentioned the new chef had a new menu and maybe we would want to switch some things up and I still hadnt heard anything from her, and she replied that she would no longer be honoring our agreed pricing / have use of the part of the restaurant / couldn’t have the amount of people we had discussed. I honestly would have been okay with this when this first happened – she could have said absolutely cannot do this the way Diana was planning and I would have been understanding, now however, less than 3 months from my wedding, I am truly livid. When was she planning on telling me? She only did because I had emailed her first. Now, my $600 worth of invitations sent out are worthless, I have to buy new ones, and postage, and find a place during wedding season with an opening when I am less than 3 months away since I already have deposits down on other venders for that date like a DJ and photographer etc. Also, people have told me they’ve been to weddings there with more than 200 people before. The place would have made a huge lump sum of money just by the bar earnings. Suddenly, months later, she doesn’t believe I was quoted that price (with my witnesses with me) and she changed every variable previously discussed. To say I’m unhappy is such an understatement. It could be such a beautiful successful establishment out there if could find someone worthy of running it. I’ve already told her I will not be quiet about this and people will know that she is not someone to trust their business with.

This place is absoluty amazing !!! I could stay here 4-Ever!! Great mangment, she is very genuine!!
