A great hike. It’s 5.8 miles each way from the Porter parking area and about 1,500 feet of elevation gain. A bit if work but every minute of the hike (or ride) is beautiful, and then you get to the grand vista.

Made it 10 miles up the trail and the view was terrific. Smoke and haze from fires or I believe the ocean would have been in view. Bumpy ride with all the tree roots!

A beautiful location and well worth the work out to get there

I mountain biked up the fire road trail and it was an awesome experience the first time. I grew a new set of lungs and legs; best 45min incline climb to Sand Point Overlook - felt forever. I would totally recommend this for those that are up for a challenge. The scenery is awesome up there too.

Definitely worth getting there. Very spiritual experience going through Redwood trees.

Cycling in Nisene Marks State Park is wonderful.

A great MB ride. Not technical.

This is a 7-mile hike each way in nisene marks and should not be taken lightly because of the distance involved. Having said that its not a difficult or technical hike at all. And The view from Sandpoint is wonderful. For me it was well worth the trip. Also, the beauty of this area, its fairly stunning. I feel so privileged to live in an area like this, one of the most beautiful places in the world. Indeed, the Forest of Nisene Marks is practically in my backyard and is an absolute Jewel.

Its a bench with a view after an uphill climb. Fyi the log in the shade the left smells like urine.

At 2/3 of the climb to the summit, this is the first open sweeping view possible on the ascent. Once you arrive here, you will have finished the easy part of the climb. The road has steep sections from here to the summit. You will be tested!

You have to earn it!
